![]() ![]() Uses common metal forming and trimming tools such as hand shears, drills and hammers, etc.Checks and straightens parts in a thorough manner to meet desired shape and surface appearance of a high quality.Smooths out and hand works all surfaces on a variety of production skin parts in accordance with specifications, making essential decisions involving the use of precise judgment.Uses a variety of hand and power tools to form, straighten, route, drill, shear and deburr a variety of parts.Perform routine deburr operations such as sanding, grinding, and finishing parts in accordance with accepted shop standards.Operates router, water knife, saws, shaper and drill press to cut and shape metal parts in accordance with pre-determined shop standards by using standard or recognized shop practices.Straightens or forms parts using hammers, drills, lead bars, shrinkers, stretchers, sanders and other fabrication equipment.Works from blueprints, oral and written instructions to hand form and straighten a variety of parts.To setup and operate a variety of machines to fabricate/form a variety of aircraft components into aircraft parts. Performs other related duties as required.Responsible for the quality of own work.Utilize tool moving equipment as required and maintain and store tools.O Visually checks tooling to prevent damage to equipment and formed details. O Manage/adjust amount of pressure necessary according to form requirements and learns to set equipment appropriately. O Monitors equipment and notifies supervision or maintenance of any problems. ![]() O Uses oil or soap solution to lubricate details, places material on forming device along with necessary coverings to ensure correct form. Perform routine duties in loading/unloading raw material as well as hand forming and straightening operations. Utilize a variety of tools, blueprints, measuring instruments, and shop aids. Setup and operate various sizes of form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press equipment to fabricate aircraft details to specified dimensions, tolerances, and company specifications.May be required to work with higher grade operators while in training. To fabricate, form, roll, joggle, punch, pierce, blank, and press a variety of sheet metal aircraft details. ![]()
